Hey, I got my full licence for a car a year ago, didn't get it printed though because I wanted to get the trailer licence first.

I was wondering what is involved in the test? I can't find much information on it at all. No instructors down here (Limerick, Kerry border) do lessons for it and I'm not even sure if my local test centre runs the test.

Also I will be driving a Landrover so can I assume I will be allowed to use the low box when reversing? Should I use a horse box or a flat trailer? There is no theory test either is there?

    Thanks in advance.

I done it recent enough, few weeks ago. I got lessons that work payed for, 5 altogether. Done both lessons and test in Naas.

I found the most difficult thing was reversing around the corner, but in saying that its not even that hard, once you've nailed that your fine. They even give you a choice in to reverse around a left or right hand corner so you kinda just gotta learn to do either.

Just a tip incase your not getting lessons...when your reversing around the corner you can go as slow as you like, and I mean REALLY slow, its so much easier and far far better than hitting the kerb.

Any questions feel free and good luck.
