What is best iPhone4 deal if I expect to move to UK?

    I dearly want an iPhone 4 but there is very good chance I may have to move to the UK in less than 1 year. All the carriers I spoke to require an 18 month contract in place to sell me an iPhone and even when I move, the contract requires I keep paying!

    I thought Vodafone would let me transfer over the contract to their UK company when the time comes but no such luck - Vodafone UK is not legally the same company as Vodafone Ireland, so I would still be stuck with the Irish Contract.

    Has anyone got a suggestion what to do here? How can I get an iPhone 4 without being stuck with the 18 month contract if I move to UK?
