Any US carriers from Dublin not using 757s ?

    Hi.

I'm thinking of going to the States for a trip this spring, and just wondering if there are any US airlines flying from Dublin that don't now use the 757 ? i.e. anyone flying 767s or 777s on any days of the week ?

(nothing against the 757 which is a fine plane, just find it a bit small for any flight over 5 hours).

    Thanks for any suggestions

Well US Airways and American use 767's also. But I am open to correction.

US Airways are currently using 767-200s but this could perhaps change if loads are light:

American's Chicago service is suspended for the winter timetable period.

    American have switched to 757's

Delta use two 767's one to ATL and one to JFK, but the last time I was at the airport there was a Delta 757 there, so they may have changed too.

Delta are using 757 on jfk route until summer but 767 to ATL all year round

This winter season Delta use a 767-300ER on the daily Atlanta flight, and an ex-TWA 757-200 on the JFK flight.

However, this March they both get upgraded.

Atlanta will go to a daily A330-300
JFK will go to a daily 767-300

Cool. Thanks for the info. So I shall try and book my connection on Delta via Atlanta and hopefully get a 767.

    Cheers,

Yeah, for me when I'm going to the US I always fly United (operated by EI) and find it to be the best option.

Hi. Yes I love Aer Lingus, and have used them for Boston and NY a lot. Only this time I'm thinking of going to some other places (either Los Angeles, Roswell New Mexico, Las Vegas, or Houston). So its going to be a long day of travel which is why I'm hoping to get a good twin aisle aircraft for the atlantic part.

Id advise you to avoid Roswell had had pleasure of being stuck there for a few days in november...the aliens must have been really pissed off when they crashed there!! Its a dump.

I've heard the same about Roswell - total sh1thole I believe , apart from Aliens it's only ' claim to fame ' is that the actress Demi Moore was born in a trailerpark there .

I think all of aerlingus's long haul planes have two aisles!

Aer Lingus use A330's which have twin aisles.

Don't bother going near Roswell, total waste of time and nothing to see

was booking a trip to nyc for the summer and Delta seem to be using a 757-200 all year round now.
Seems strange as anytime i have been on Delta(767) from JFK to Dublin the flight does be oversold.

That's a real shame. It was a 767-400ER last Summer, and our flight was overbooked!

I've always had a comfortable journey across on a 752- just avoid seats at the very rear.

I havent got a problem with flying a 752 . I just found it a little strange that during the summer months last year they were overbooking a 767 and now they are using a smaller aircraft.
Also the prices seem to be a bit more expensive than the same time last year aswell.

For example Continental (or United as they are now) have higher capacity in Y in 752's over the 762
