Anyone ever watched this? I find it good for a bit of light scifi time-travelling entertainment:pac:

They had pulled the plug on it after the last series, but due to uproar from the masses, decided to have another go.

The latest series was filmed in Ireland (some done at Powerscourt etc...), and starts tonight on the various ITV1 channels at 7.30.

Yup, looking forward to it! I thought it jumped the shark a bit when the killed off
    Cutter
, and I definitely got the feeling they were making up the 'rules' as they went along, but its a fun show.

    Episode 2 is tomorrow night.

Getting rid of Cutter was akin to killing off Jack Bauer in the first episode of the first "24" series, but I think he decided to walk away.

Hopefully the ham-acting Mrs Cutter is finally dead, and that they haven't bothered their arses rescuing the idiot ex-cop macho-man who was fortunately stranded millions of years ago at the end of the last series

clever of them to disguise it was dublin on the monitors by flipping the map of the docklands, so we had kildare county council offices and the docklands and powerscourt, croke park and the 02 and spinosaurus and s club 7 music :)

whats with the xtra long pauses and looks between everything they say and that guy from the north is dry****e isn't he.

It'll be good for tourism, with people coming here looking for dinosaurs.

The S Club 7 reference must have pissed off the the rest of the the ex-group, as none of the others seem to have had a job since they split up.

I'm confused regarding episode 4. This is the press release that was put up on the internet prior to the airing of the episode, however the episode was completely different with the word venom being the only common place. Checked the press releases for all other season 4 episodes and none of them correspond the Saturday's episode either. So is the synopsis old/wrong, or was the episode changed at some point after the press release does anyone know?

Strange alright. The one that was on Saturday was definitely in sequence, because it was a direct continuation of the Emily/Ethan story from the week before.

What's weird (and spoiler alert if you follow up on this), IMDB has full episode synopses (not just summaries) for the next 9 episodes -- the last 3 from this season and 6 from season 5 (!)

I didn't even know season 5 was announced.

The synopses are by "anonymous" and have atrocious spelling. I'd take them with a pinch of salt tbh. See if episode 5 matches up with any of the descriptions on Saturday.

By the way, if the synopses are true, then it looks like we have some amazing episodes (and character returns) in the next few to come.

Season 5 was announced and they filmed it back to back with Season 4. Last I looked on IMDB it had the same press releases as the rest of the internet for Season 4 (albeit Primeval press releases seem to be very long winded).

EDIT: Just looked at IMDB there. No full synopsis for any episode, just long winded summaries. For these ones however it looks like there might have been a major leak from the production team. No wonder since they filmed it here in Ireland.

The summaries are detailed enough to spoil the episodes. Lets see if Saturday's episode matches up with any of them...

My mate was saying that last weeks episode was filmed in DCU

Yup looks like DCU alright. Did you notice Croke Park in the season premiere?

Where's today's episode filmed? Somewhere in Wicklow? Or west?

So after seeing episode five and the promo for next week, as well as an interview with Jason Flemyng, it appears these synopsis which have been posted on just about every internet TV site, are indeed wrong as you had suspected Mr. E.

Though they contain small elements of truth regarding the overall premise of the episodes, the other details appear to be made up or assumed from press statements. Episode 4's one was 100% wrong, and Episode 5, while slightly right, exaggerated the plot completely and pushed up a certain character return which doesn't occur until a later episode.

On another note, Episode 6's promo looks amazing. Quite an epic scale set for the penultimate episode of the season.

BTW never replied to this before, but I really never understood why they did this, especially since in the end the given reason within the show never proved to have any substance (and seemingly still doesn't if the Episode 6 promo and the pre-season scenes of Matt and Gideon are anything to go by).

One of the episodes was filmed right outside my office. I dont watch this show so cant confirm if it's been on or not.
That was a magical day, I got to look at Hannah outside the window all day.

    Possibly the premiere.

Thought the finale was brilliant though they did rush
    Danny's return
a bit much. Really excited for season 5 now; seems the game is going to get much bigger. Bring on May.

Yeah it was decent, but Siddig being the bad guy was kind of telegraphed a mile off. Fun finale though. Glad we don't have to wait too long for the next season!

Looks like the only real way they can get out of it is to stop the anomalies for good, so maybe they'll wrap everything up in the next season.

Not necessarily. If they are becoming more frequent because Burton or someone tampered them, then they may simply be able to reverse whatever was done. If anyone can do it, it's Connor.

Other possibility; Matt fails and the following seasons are about the Arc in the future. This one could be cool.

My own theories on what may happen next season: Matt probably won't tell anyone about Burton and try and go at it alone. Reckon there's a slight possibility Burton (being a biologist) may be the one who creates the Future Predators and the mind control device, maybe as a way to wipe out the masses of creatures that could enter the present if the anomolies became so frequent.

Some people reckon that the mass of anomolies will create a black hole, but I reckon a mass of creatures seems more likely as otherwise all the other futures we have seen (beach, rain forest, London on the cliff) will never have a chance to happen. That being said, a black hole that gets stopped after not too long could explain why future London is a little cliff face. So many possibilities right now; love how they have made such a huge cliffhanger.

And you are right, was obvious Burton would be the bad guy in the end, however I like how they tied him in to the original mythology instead of just moving on to a whole new evil.

Season 5 seems to have noticeably more Irish actors and actresses trying to speak with an English accent, and failing miserably. Janice Byrne who plays April Leonard seems to be the main offender.:o

She should have gone to specsavers too. :)

Decent season so far, but not spectacular.
Next week's looks like a good jump in the main story with Phillip though.

Its really kicking off now... the main story was advanced a good bit this week, and the beetles were pretty well done (for the most part!)

When they mentioned destroying the beetles, I couldn't help but think of Yoko Ono.

She didn't have her specs on this week, which I think contributed to her downfall as she couldn't see what was coming.

Heh... finale next week - I wonder how they'll end it?
