Possible airlock in filling loop

Guys, I have a pressurised CH system - there's with a connection to the mains feed in the attic via a tap valve to top up the pressure from time to time. This is connected to the mains by a plain push-fit tee piece.

In recent times I'd started to notice a hissing/kettle noise when I turned the immersion on, the DIY forum seemed to think this was normal .

While I was checking that out, I turned the tap on the filling connection and heard no flow, and noticed no pressure change in the CH system. Is this an airlock? I've been up in the attic trying to free out any air by activating the ballcock valve but I don't think anything's changed. Any suggestions welcome. I've got 1bar cold at the moment, so I don't think there's an emergency...

PS Mods, as this is kindof a duplicate post, I may need to consolidate or move the posts?

In case anyone sees this thread - the problem seems to have resolved itself. I bled air from the system on a couple of occasions since, and the filling loop valve now seems to allow water into the hot system.
