Woke up this morning with a hang over but also a full tank of water in the attic, problem now is that the water doesnt seem to be going to the toilet now or the cold tap in the sink.

    Any ideas?

could be an airlock. I have a similar issue. Hot water in the tank but none in the taps or shower etc.

Brilliant, haha, its one thing after another with this, how do you sort an airlock?

The cold tap in sink is usually fed from mains.( your toilet may also be fed from mains).

The water may have come on and refilled the tank. ( you should have hot water at taps and bath, cold water a bath tap and possibly toilet).

The mains may be off again.

Mains are still on, got pretty high pressure as well.

As Max Power said.. must be airlocked.
    Quick fix/try.

If you have a mixer tap/ bath taps.
If you have water out of hot and not cold ( or vice versa).
Plave cloth/hand over spout. Slowly fully open the tap that has water then open the other tap. this may force water down the pipes and relaese air locks.

    Power /mixer Showers.
If you have a detachable shower head, place it to floor level and turn on taps/shower.
Adjusting tgemperature control from hot to cold frequently.

Alternatively use a small piece of pipe from tap with high pressure and blow back through taps that are airlocked.

Tracing pipework and slowly opening fittings to release air. ( not for the faint hearted... expect water to come out... maybe leave it for a plumber).

Just tried that, worked a treat.

Same problem for me, cold stopped running. Quick read of this thread and all sorted. Thanks!

Have a similar problem here. in a 3 storey house. last week the third floor bathroom had no water (sink, shower or toilet). The tank was empty in the attic. The next day the tap in bathroom started working and on monday the shower started working again (had to hang the shower down for a few minutes to get it working so may have been air lock). Now though our toilet cistern is not refilling. thought valve might be full of debris but it appeared to be as clean as a whistle. anybody have any other ideas or is it time to call out the plumber?
