Skype Problem

    Hi All,

    I got the girlfriend a HTC Desire for Christmas. I downloaded Skype and signed in. We couldn't change her status to ONLINE so I powered off the phone and started up again. Now Skype won't let us even sign in. Has anyone had similar issues using android phones. I know Skype has been having some problems the last few weeks, so maybe this has something to do with it.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    Did you try logging in to the Skype site just to rule out that there's no problem with the username / password.

    You can also try uninstalling and then reinstalling the application again on Desire.

    I have no problem logging into skype on my desire.

    Problem sorted.

    I removed the software and reinstalled. Working grand now.

    Hope someone can help please;
    When I send for my forgotten password to Skype, they keep sending a temporary link which doesn't work, even if entered manually. Have tried numerous times and it seems others are having the same issue.basically, all I want to do is set it up on my Ipad using the same account as my laptop. Skype's customer support are useless in this regard and little or no help.
    So appreciate if anyone can offer guidance, as don't want to set up a new account if I don't have to.

    Skype has hussy fits. Had to change my password last week because it wouldnt accept the password I was giving it which was 100% correct. Reset and it was fine. Then my dads Skype did the same thing. I just put it down to skype being buggy lately. Leave it a few hours and try again.

    So good of you to respond so quickly and thanks. I wonder if it has anything to do with my browser on Ipad, which is Safari..I have tried numerous times and the issue persists. They don't have a help line and customer support just sends more temporary codes which are not accepted.
