Was that the quietest New Year ever? RTE hardly arsed to bother, no official celebration in any town or city as far as I know, round my place the usual "last of the Halloween fire works" didn't happen, no ships blew their horns, no one was out on the street. Nothing. It was as quiet as an empty church.
