Hey guys, I am having terrible trouble with my face in terms of spots. They keep appearing and they seem to last for ages. I have had 2 on the side of my face and they have been there 3 weeks now, Big huge red dots absolutely disguisting.

Has anyone got any tips on how to keep my skin in good condition?

BTW: I eat 2 pieces of fruit and 2 litres of water a day as a strict rule.

    Help much appreciated :)

Have you been to the doctors? If you drink plenty water and have a healthy diet and lifestyle then that's the best place to get any kind of skin condition diagnosed and so you can be prescribed any medicated soaps or creams that may help.

    All the best

Go see your GP. Don't be embarrassed about it - there are people with skin troubles going to them all the time.

The doctor will be able to help you. In the meantime, think about stuff touching off your face. I had a huge improvement in my acne after I started making sure I wasn't letting anything irritate my skin. This meant changing my pillow case every two nights, turning it over each night so I always had a clean surface to put my face on, keeping scarves down on my chest rather than up in my face, not leaning my head on my hands, or touching my face. Sounds weird but it really helped, although it didn't totally go away until I got help from my GP, with medication. As far as diet and water consumption, keep up the good work because it's healthy, and it can't hurt, but there's no actual evidence that diet will help. That seems to be a really big misconception, the whole "2 litres a day" thing.
The acne medication I take requires the skin to be washed first, and my doctor recommended a face wash for me. It's available in most pharmacies, it's not medicated, just a face wash but really good for acne prone skin, even when I went to buy it the girl at the cash register said it's recommended very often by doctors for people with acne. It's La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying foaming Gel For Oily Sensitive Skin.
http://www.laroche-posay.ie/_en/_ie/index.aspx On this site it's the one under oily skin, then under cleansing, the second one. It costs around 13.50 and has lasted me ages. You only need to use a portion just bigger than a pea, but it comes in a 200ml bottle, so it lasts so long the price is pretty much negligible. I had tried all the main face washes, nivea, clearasil, etc, nothing worked, but I never would have noticed this on the shelf. I think it's definitely worth a shot.

As we aren't doctors and can't offer a diagnosis, posting pictures of what your skin looks like serves no purpose. Make an appointment with your GP or asked to be referred to a dermatologist.
