    Hi everyone,

I'm in my final year of a Physics & Maths degree at UCC and am considering my options for postgraduate studies. I've been looking at this course and it seems really interesting. Just wondering if anyone here is doing it or has done it in the past. Any feedback on the course would be greatly appreciated (e.g. whether it's interesting or not/employment prospects/quality of lecturing/which of the specialisation tracts should be pursued or avoided etc.)

Hopefully someone out there will reply! :)

    Thanks.

Are you going to elaborate on that at all?

To the OP, I'm actually interested in the same course, but it's a pretty small course from what I gather so I'm not sure if you'll find someone here who has done it. There's a postgraduate open day on the 27th (?) of January you might consider going to, I'm assuming there'll be somebody there who can answer your questions.

You mean Trinity in general? Or this course specifically?

I didn't do that course (I didn't run the year I wanted to do it and has been revamped since). I did the MSc in Medical Physics in Galway.

There are two threads where I discussed the profession in general and you might find it useful to read them.

On the contrary to what that other person said, Trinity College is awesome. I don't know anything about that course but can say that if you go to Trinity then you will have a great experience, particularly if you get involved with the college/club/soc community. I found the people in Trinity (both lecturers and students) to be interesting and fun, and studying in a place like Trinity is quite inspiring too.
