    Hi,

    I hope to get some advice on the following netbook;

    HP Mini 110-3104sa 10.1" Netbook (Intel Atom N455 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Windows 7 Starter)

I am thinking of going with the Carephone Warehouse deal @189.00euro bundled with Vodafone Mobile Broadband offer.

Not sure about the quality/battery life etc...

    is it worth it?

what NETBOOK would you recommend :confused:

    thanks in advance

    bni

Honestly, no. Buy Asus or Toshiba. For eee pc/Netbooks.
    Those are the most reliable.

And the Dual Core is out for a good few months.
    D525/D550 (oddly the D525 is 1.8ghz(3.6ghz), while D550 is 1.5ghz (3ghz)
check the Asus 1015PEM/1015PN and also the 1018P.
They are roughly the same with different specs with the ION on one of them (although, ION 2 is already out, 12.1" 1215N) These are all extermely good Netbook and all cost around the 300-350 mark.

    I have a HP N110 (I think) which I got in vegas Summer 2009.
I've had no problems with it.
Similiar specs although with a SSD disk and windows XP.
My wife uses it for surfing the web, writing office docs, uploading photos general bits and pieces.
Battery life is about 5-6 hours so not as good as most netbooks but perfectly adequate for her needs.

I think that the deal for €189 is pretty good actually and I would think its a good buy.

300-350 in my opinion is too expensive for a "netbook" and at that price point I would be close to considering getting a laptop for circa the €400 mark.

Nekbook priced in the states 100-200 euro less than over here.

Also, the standard Asus battery life is 10-11 Hours on average asus 1015P*. But still, you just are getting it cheap bundle.

A dual core 1.8Ghz processor does not equal 3.6Ghz. All it is is 2 1.8Ghz cores in one processor.
