I recently upgraded from a SE W995 to an Iphone 4 and want to transfer my address book over, whats the easiest way?

I have data cables for both phones.

    Cheers.

You're missing the most important bit of info, what OS are you using?

easiest way is to export your old phone contacts (use the SE phone software) to an excel sheet and migrate them into either window contacts or google contacts.
Then sign up for the free 3 month trial of mobileme (make sure to disable signup before this date as it will automatically debit your cc) and set it to sync to your iphone.
Loved how easy it was and I'm sure there's prob easier ways now of doing it.

Just do a google for importing contacts into windows contacts etc and it will walk

get a microsim adapter, put the sim into the SE and transfer all the contacts to it and then put it into the iphone and import from sim
    settings>mail, contact, calendars>import sim contacts

There's the software you want for the SE phone. Not sure how it imports info, if it sends it to outlook or what, I'd imagine it does. From there you can sync it up with the iPhone from iTunes, if it goes to Outlook.

I don't have the software in front of me but what you need to do is open the Sony Ericsson software and connect the phone (the Sony with the sim in it). Then choose the option 'sync' or 'sync to computer' or similar and it will give you the option to sync to Microsoft Outlook. Once that's done open iTunes and connect your iPhone (with the new sim in). Go to the 'info' tab and choose the 'sync contacts from' box and choose Outlook. That should be it.

Sorry for the lack of detail I am on a different comp.

Cheers, ended up doing it manually by transferring contacts through a small sim adapter in SE. worked out ok

Had the same tasks you recently.
I forget EXACTLY how I did it but it ws something like this.
Export your contacts on old phone to a vsd? file
Create a yahoo account and import the contacts via the file.
There is an option in iTunes to sync your yahoo contacts with your phone.

The real handy thing is that every time you sync your yahoo gets updated and you have an online copy of your contacts
