206 indicator problem

Im having a problem with the indicator on my 2001 Peugeot 206. Theres about 75k miles on the clock and the indicator stalk feels flimsy going right. As well as that, after indicating right, turning right, and straightening up, the indicator goes from right to left on its own, instead of just turning off.

Do i need to get the stalk replaced or is there a "quick fix" i could try?

The 307's also have this problem,The problem is return spring within the indicator stalk become weak....:rolleyes:
Don't think theres any other way only to replace the stalk.
Not sure which you have but if its the coms 2000 then they can work out expensive.
