Hi there, just wondering if it's normal in on campus student accommodation not to have a washing machine/dryer provided?Daughter in Maynooth and has to use the campus launderette which costs over €6 for one wash&dry. Are campus flats excluded from the normal rules relating to private tenencies?Thought landlords had to provide washing machines etc?Can someone please enlighten us

Pretty standard for each house not to have a washing machine/dryer.Most campus accommodations just have a room with a load of machines you can use as you please in exchange for tokens.

Its quite possible the accommodation is on a licence basis (like a hotel) than a tenancy-basis.

They have provided a washing machine - in the launderette.
