    Hello

Who is the most favourable price wise at the moment for home insurance ?

Renewal due in a week or so and currently shopping round online.

At the moment Allianz and getcover.ie seem to be the cheapest.

    Any other recommendations ?

It seems every year i have to shop around and change over house insurer but better in my pocket than in theirs.

    Thank you.

    Have you tried www.aaireland.ie ?
They're doing house insurance these days and seem to be very competitive.
123.ie is always a good place to check too.

I know someone who got her insurance renewal quote from www.getcover.ie and found it had jumped from 350 to 850 in the year despite having no claims. She rang them up and they told her that it was because she lived in Galway city. She explained there'd never been flooding etc in her estate and the dropped the price from 850 to 450 there and then!

Just goes to show that as well as shopping online it can pay to ring up and try to broker a better deal for yourself also.
