Giving up the internet

Well as new years resolutions go it's a first for me but seriously, knocking it on the head. Ok not gonna be possible to do it altogether with the reliance on groups involved in and flights etc. but seriously, what the hell has someone I have never met, or will meet got to do with how I feel?

Online tends to voice opinion when strongly for or against something. I just think it's gotten completely ridiculous and the growing level of complete nerd talk or attempts at humour is just crap altogether. Facebook people putting up jokes that weren't funny 5 years ago, liking every fecking group or activity in life

Back to the 90s with me where I just saw mates in my area etc and not on feckin' facebook or some bloody post on boards :)

The amount of time internet takes away from actual activity is horrible.

My 2 cents. Once a month for social online activity but that's it.

This will fail and you will end up making a joke about it online.

Well thankfully that's not a risk I don't watch TV at all. It's prob on an hour or two per month.

    Good luck.

I remember ten years ago, I'd be on the internet for one hour a week.
Now it's about five hours a day (Thanks to phones with Wifi).

I can go about two days without the internet, but then find it really difficult to stay away. It's one of those things where you say, ''I'll just check if this is in stock so I can collect it'', and then you finish your fifth game of poker.

I hope it works out for you, I feel this way sometimes too but at the end of the day I do require it for communication and information.

Bit crap with the phone alright that has really made it a constant thing. Handy for public transport or boring lectures but not good!! :)

Maybe we should set up an offline group, just to keep on track ;)

ive been on internet since 1996

    It wont let me leave

Trying to leave the internet is akin to trying to stop masturbating mid stroke

See how long you can go for....
