Audi A4 Window Regulator/cable Replacment

Hey Folks...
My BIL's A4 snapped the cable in the drivers door as the window was frozen.. Dealer is looking for €140 for the part and it can be got in e-bay for about €25.
By chance would anyopne out there have experience of this repair and would you chance the non OEM part? It's a significant saving.

Yes it's a repair kit, would do your nut in ! Mush easier to replace the window regulator as a whole ! Quiet easy to do. Better off IMO. Got one off GSF before for a passat, job done in an hour.

them repair kits are a nightmare to work with..an awfull lot of fiddling around with and will take well over an hour to fit..you can buy a genuine audi window regulator from GSF for a few quid less. Then genuine window reg comes complete and it only takes a few bolts to secure in place saving you an awfull amount of time and fing and bing lol...safe yourself the hassle and time and get the genuine part

My bad, it was actually GSF I sourced the part from !!
