What's going on here, noticed these weird IP's trying to get access to my router
    1 11/21/2010 15:41:17 Successful WEB login User:admin
    2 11/21/2010 15:16:16 1x:***********:logout
    3 11/21/2010 12:53:33 41.196.180.14:4656 ***.***.***.***:23 ACCESS DROPPED
    4 11/21/2010 12:51:36 190.232.108.33:3572 ***.***.***.***:23 ACCESS DROPPED
    5 11/21/2010 12:48:33 1x:***********:logout
    6 11/21/2010 12:22:07 Successful WEB login User:admin
    7 11/21/2010 07:15:42 190.232.100.171:2567 ***.***.***.***:23 ACCESS DROPPED
    8 11/21/2010 06:30:13 41.130.29.107:3646 ***.***.***.***:23 ACCESS DROPPED

Don't mind the time and date on my router it's set wrong, also I've blanked out my IP and MAC address for security, having some PC knowledge I'm aware that port 23 is used for Telnet, so is somebody trying to telnet my router, is this something I should be worried about?

Not really an issue, the router is doing it's job and dropping the telnet attempts correctly.

Good stuff, I'm guessing when my IP changes I probably won't get any more login attempt's.

It's probably just scans by bots etc, running over the whole address range. You'll probably still see them after an IP change.

Yeah, you're right, still there after the IP change.

Wow, getting bombarded these last 48hours, should I report it to my ISP?

You seem to be using http for access. So do you ever use telnet to access it?. If not, see if you can turn the service off on the router, or at least from external sources.

As for reporting it to your ISP.... that would be an exercise in futility.

As SPEAR said - it's probably just bots doing IP / port scans. This happens 24 x 7 x 365. If your router is dropping the connections, the only real issue is that your log files fill up REALLY quick with thousands of requests.

    Your ISP can't / won't / don't care.
