    Hey all,

I need to get my car services (Ford Foucs) and the quotes I have been getting have been varying wildly in price from around €99 to €149 for a basic service (oil & filter change, safety check etc).

Does anyone know what is an average guideline decent price for a basic service these days?

Am I better sticking with an authorised dealer or should I just go for the cheapest option?

    Cheers

Ford dealers are doing €99 services for an oil and filter which ain't bad for a main dealer, I suppose a full service would be around the €200 mark. A indy would be cheaper though.

    Cheers Plug,

Yeah the €99 was the best quote that I had gotten so far from South Dublin Ford Centre but wanted to look around to make sure I was getting best value for money.

Im pretty sure that I will need a bit of work done (defo need new headlight bulb) so if anyone has had a good experience of service offers lately please let me know.

    Thanks

I'd say advance as well but you could do this yourself if you buy the bits you need for around the same price.

Thats worth checking out Ill get on to them now! I would be able to do the oil and filter change yes but I want a proper safety check done on brakes etc as a learner driver is about to start driving it too.

    Thanks for the tip
