I am starting a new business and I was hoping to include a freefone/low call number when I advertise the business. I had a quick look around the Eircom site but I didn't see anything regarding such numbers. Does anyone here know how one obtains such a number? Thanks

All details in their business site

    http://business.eircom.net/SME/products/voice/9244703

But also beware that calling lo call from a mobile doesn't come out of inclusive minutes and also many people have free landline call included in home phone plans - so the only real advantage these days is an "easy" to remember number.

If its free phone - you will be paying av. 20c per minute for calls made from mobiles.

Best option is to try and get an easy local number.

I really despise these so called lo call numbers. In an era of mobile telophony these numbers make no sense. As previously said you get charged extra for them and any way landline bundles from the major providers offer free local/national calls as part of the package.

    Agreed.

Thanks for that, I would be providing a service nationwide and hence the reason I was thinking of using such a number.

Have a look at 1n 0818 number . They can be called form anywhere in the world. The charges form Ireland are local landlines charges . If you want further information PM me and I will send to you.
