I've the previous model of the m17 and its a nightmare! Biggest waste of money I have ever spent...anyone wanna buy it off me :P

Serious note, does anyone have one? I dont have the installation discs for it and its a pain trying to get drivers for it as there is little support out there for win7 cause of the new models.
Can someone give me a copy their 100% working driver discs?
Doing anything graphically intensive makes the frame rate stutter. I've a suspicion the power supply is part of the fault but I wanna see if anyone has drivers that work properly first.
The temperature levels are fine so I dont think its a hardware fault.

Getting drivers should be handy enough. Even try the vista drivers for it if you can't get windows 7 drivers.

Have tried that already, I came across a list of drivers recommended for this model for win7 and most of them were vista drivers. Have you got an alienware?

The laptop is very good, shouldn't stutter at all.

Get a techie friend to have a look, or use google and the alienware forums for solutions

    video stutter and intermittent wi-fi.

well if it is purely a wifi problem, try watching vids at 0 feet away from the wifi hub/router while running something cpu heavy.

It is designed for gaming, so I'd have thought it would be a min 7200 SATA II and more than descent GFX card. and it should run fin IE not getting too hot that cause it to shut down. Tbh it should have run perfectable, when you got it the drivers "should" have only increased its proformance.

And if you are a techie, why the hell are you asking us for help? XD
