I want to boost the single of my router as its really weak in some parts of my house.

Option #1
I was looking at getting this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Netgear-14Mbps-Powerline-Ethernet-Adapter/dp/B000ENQSJ0/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1293666208&sr=8-9 and I was hoping to plug in at the office then at the other end I could plug it into an old router so that I broadcast the signal from there but I am unsure if that is possible?

Any other ideas?

Get a linksys wrt54g v3 and use dd-wrt. You can get the routers on eBay and dd-wrt is open source

I tried to find that version on their website to see more info on it but cant seem to find it. I found plenty like the Linksys E1000, would that be as good?

You can get them on eBay or adverts.ie you can also check the dd-wrt.com website and have a look in the router database. That will tell you what routers are supported.
