    Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a laptop. I intend to travel a bit over the next few months so i'll really only need it for skype and some minimal internet use. I've heard some laptops have an inbuilt webcam but i was wondering if you can just buy a webcam seperately for use with the laptop? Which would be the better option? Also, i don't want to spend a fortune so i'll be on the look out for the best value. I've seen a lot of people with mini laptops-I think they're called notebooks. Anyone know anything about these?

I know next to nothing about this sort of thing so i'd be really grateful for any advice.

    Thanks!

Is it a netbook by any chance?

Cost is 200-500 from low grade to high end.

long life and very light weight 10.1"-12.1" (there are smaller, but most were dropped by the companies afaik).
