Looking for some advice please. Our pipes froze last Friday, water is supplied from a well and the outside pipes had frozen underground. These pipes thawed out Mon evening, the tank in the attic has filled up, and we are able to run the shower. However I have no water coming through to the toilets or the other taps in the house. We had a heater up in the attic yesterday but it didn't seem to make any difference, it doesn't feel very cold in there now.

I tried taps on and flushing toilets like other advice given but to no avail.

    Any other tips / suggestions?

Is it all tank fed pipes that aren't working? If so, then its an issue with airlocks. Check a few other threads her, there are steps on how to clear it.

Have managed to clear airlock in hot water taps, thanks for all advice.

However I still can't manage to get cold water taps and toilets working in the bathrooms.

Any advice on how to clear an airlock in these?

well i just ran a short piece of hose from hot tap to cold tap, turned on the hot tap and allowed the water enter the opened cold tap for about 7 or 8 seconds. soon as the cold tap starts spluttering stop, and water should come out of cold tap. bare in mind, i'm no plumber etc. :)

i used the bath taps, reckon they're the best. course if you've mixed bath taps just block the spout and the watr from hot tap will enter cold tap pipe - same deal, but easier.
