I dont know if i read this correctly
    http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EElkyVZlkAWyvjrKRY.php
but as far as i can make out (i am open to correction) if you were on a vulnerable dashboard and got ur CPU key and then updated ur dashboard with official xbox 360 NXE dashboard and got ur efuses burned u would be okay and be able to downgrade again. Which is pretty good so why do they say remove that resistor or bridge the 2 pins to prevent an efuse blowing when once u have ur CPU key u would be okay.
Or maybe thats an old post and microsoft burned more efuses since then. I dont know!

If the efuses that are burnt on the 8955 update burn then there is no way to run the Jtag exploit anymore, even if you managed to downgrade the dash.

Oh right so they must have blown a couple of e-fuses in different updates.

Just out of curiosity say you have removed the resistor what happens if you update does it cut out during the update process or does it mean you must rewrite the NAND backup?

The 8955 dashboard updated the bootloader to an unexploitable version which is why the JTAG doesn't work on it or later dashboards. Every subsequent dashboard has blown efuses too.

You cannot downgrade the dashboard to a lower version because the efuse check, where the expected 'burned' fuse count is checked against the actual burned fuse count, will fail.

To sum up: Dashboard greater than 2.0.7371.0 it's game over.

The recommendation to remove R6T3 is only a precaution
