Aim for the head or neck. if ya hit the body theyll usually manage to wriggle into a burrow before ya get to them.

gut them in the field straight away saves the hassle at home

Don't forget to bring the salt to shake on their tails, then they'll sit still to be shot!!

Enjoy the day, be quiet and when you shoot one stay still because some of his mates might come over to see what he is doing and ya can get them too

My advice to you would be stay in the side of the field in cover remember you have to see and shoot him before he sees you so stay in cover with out maken to much noise. Walk into the wind as much as pos and if the are rabbits around stay put and do a few squills but you will have to move on at some stage I reckon your best chance this time of year is catching them by surprise around a corner or over a gate and things like that
Let me know how you get on best of luck

Much the same as one shot one kill,
I'd walk from field to field staying at the edges. Approach the field into the wind where possible keeping you footfall as quite as possible. Come back through the same fields on your way back to see if they pop back out again. Enjoy yourself!

make sure you look in around the ditch before you walk into a field, you might be able to get a couple just inside the gap. stick to the ditches when you're in the field, and constantly scan the field as you walk. if you see any with their heads up freeze until they relax. use the wind to your advantage, and try to take all headshots, that way you'll have loads of meat

well the rabbit was converted into a curry yesterday :) i havent made up my mind yet weather i like it or not. i thought it tasted somewhere in between chicken and pork, if that makes sence??? ill deffo try it again with other recipes. but for now the dury is out. maybe its just the idea that i shot it and field dressed it myself? i suppose its the whole mind set of it:rolleyes:

I agree with the chicken pork taste alright, but every rabbit tastes differant. This time of year they arent feeding aswell as they would summertime. I think the best are summertime rabbits that just arent fully grown. Mothers that are rearing young are awful, tough and tasteless tbh. When you see a rabbit study it in the scope. See if its a young one or an older one and don't bother with the ones that arent tasty. Ive seen a lad mow a rabbit we boiled entirely in minutes so it can be done. :D
