Considering of changing to one of these after two years with my current O2 dongle, but looking for some stats/specs etc.

Firstly, when they first came out I was told that they could only be powered via the USB and there was no opition for mains power, recently I have been told you can mains power it. Any confirmation or any comment/experience on this.

Also, my current dongle will drop back to edge or similar if not in a HSPDA/3G or similar area. Will the Hotshot do the same.

Also, do it have to be pluged in via USB or mains if availble to be used, or can it be charged and left out of the way for my mobile/lappy to pick up the WiFi signal.

Finally (slightly off topic) might be considering getting a printer with WiFi/wireless capability, is the hotshot compatible for this. Or any suggestion on how can print without wires between lappy and compatible printer.
