Web Browsing on 40" LED Flat Screen TV

I am buying a flat screen TV in the janurary sales. The one thing I want to do is watch youtube browse facebook from time to time using a wireless keyboard and mouse. I have searched the net and I am thinking of purchasing the following:

Samsung Full HD TV - 40 inch LED LCD TV (IEUE40C5100Q)
    ZOTAC MAG HD-NS01 (Mini Computer)
    Wireless Mouse and Keyboard

I hope to run the broadband ethernet into the Zotac, Run Zotac to TV with VGA.The wireless mouse and keyboard will be USB to Zotac.

    I have 2 Questions.

    1) Is this the best way (Mini Pc) to browse the internet freely on my TV.
    2) Are these machines compatable with one another.

I have a pc linked to a Samsung HDTV 42 inch LED.

Its connected to the tv via a HDMI cable that goes from the back of my pc to one of the HDMI sockets you will find on that tv at the back right-hand-side (as your staring directly at the back).

I've had no problems what so ever with compatibility.

You might need then to adjust the controls of your internal graphics card to make sure the full picture that is normally on your pc/laptop monitor, also extents to the edges of the available screen size on the tv.
Samsung provide a decent set of instruction booklet with includes connecting a pc to this particular tv.
I have attached to the pc a wireless mouse and keyboard too and have had no problems in regards to tv use.

I've added 5.1 surround sound to the tv and my playstation 3 as well as my Sky and analogue tv signals. It all makes a hell of a set-up.

    You cant beat it tbh.
I have a sharp 40" LCD and its great, I use an old laptop and bluetooth keybd mouse combo. Works like a charm for sticking on youtube or whatever at house parties etc.

I have a Samsung UE46B6000 with a mini-pc (linx 1.6ghz atom, 1gb ram) connected via hdmi with a logitech dinovo mini. I've found that tv's are quite fussy about the resolution they get and for some reason despite the TV having a genuine 1080 resolution its much more "comfortable" displaying at 1280x768 which is fine and nicely readable from the sofa

SET pc refresh rate to 60mhz, set the fonts to large, size depends on how far away you sit.1024 X 768 is probably the best resolution, you can change the zoom level,in the chrome browser , click the small spanner icon in the top right, menu.

This is it, not much use to you now.

The acer revo seems to be the one to go for if you're wanting to play HD movies on it, otherwise something like ours is perfect. I can only imagine that something more powerful would generate a fair amount of heat where this barely gets warm and is on 24/7 in the cabinet

Theres a load of different ones on ebay for varying amounts of money (search for nettop), which to get depends on what you want it for i.e. HD movies or not. For whats it worth, i bought my mini-pc and a 1TB media player for the same money as a decent spec mini-pc and they're networked together so any downloads etc are still managed from the sofa.

All that said i'm sat here on the sofa using my netbook...

How do you connect the PC to the tv with a diNovo Mini?

see www.svideo.com pc settings ,use vga in,or hdmi if you have hdmi out, start off with 720x576 resolution ,or 1024x768 mode.
read the tv manual,re recommended resolution, the ones mentioned here will work on any hdtv.

    holy zombie thread batman! :pac:

but to contribute to the discussion, I have been running an Acer Revo R3610 now myself with a 40" LCD for about 2 years now and you can't beat it tbh.

i run both Win7 on it and OpenELEC (XBMC) and it works a treat. :)
