With all the cold weather of late, I am considering using something like Sentinel's inhibitor to prevent freezing (http://www.sentinel-solutions.net/product/detail/central-heating/liquids/x500-inhibited-antifreeze/) Anyone have experience with this product and if it's any use? K

Money well spent. but its an inhibitor not necessarily an anitfreeze.

Depending on the state of the system internally, I would also recommend a sludge remover before hand.

Do you need specialist equipment to get it into the system or can you just add it into header tank and drain slightly to work it through?
