Heating & Water problem!

Hey there was wondering if someone could help me? I have had no water for the past week due to frozen pipes from our well, the heating has not been working either. The water came back on this morning but there seems to be no water in the radiators. The heating is coming on but then turning off a few minutes after. Also have a tank in the attic, the one above is 3/4s full but the bigger one below it is nearly empty. Also when I looked at the boiler this morning it was leaking a little bit from a pipe but it seems like it was just pushed out and could bang the two pipes together again so now its not leaking anymore, sorry for the long rant but any ideas on what is up & how to fix it....thanks a mill :):):)

You could have a burst pipe somewhere due to the freeze, especially if some of the pipes have been pushed out. You will need to do a rigorous visual inspection firstly.

Have you two water tanks in the attic? Is the smaller one full or is it constantly filling?

Hey sorry for the late reply, yep theres two in the attic! They are both full, Some of the radiators are now heating but not all of them or fully, the bottoms of them are piping hot as well! the heating seems to be staying on as well but there is strange noises coming from the rads as well!!

If rads are hot at the bottom and cold at the top, then its an issue with air, and the rads need to be bled.

Make that you're first step, and see how things are then.
