Fixing Bumper Scrapes

A helpful woman ran into me in slow-moving traffic in Rathmines before Christmas. No real damage, but some bumper scrapes nonetheless (see photo).

I remember seeing some recommendations here for a company or companies that fixed this type of damage at a good rate, or at least at less than main stealer prices, however I can't remember who they were. Anyone had good experiences with any particular repair shops in the Dublin area?

    Thanks in advance.

Carcraft seem to come highly recommended in the Dublin area.

There's a guy on here, Paint Doctor who might be worth sending a PM to, not sure where he's based though, sorry.

    Nice car btw! :D

as said, a smart repair would be best.

is that black paint transfered onto your car or has your paint been removed down to the bumper plastic?

    What he said!

That exhaust makes me cringe. Give it a whack of some metal polish before it permanently turns black!

It'll have to be repaired by a bodyshop or SMART repair.

Personally, with a car like that, I'd get a good bodyshop to do it. Smart repairs are fine for scuffs on a corner, but the whole bumper is going to need to be painted, as well as the scratches filled if they're as deep as you say.

Avoid anyone who will paint the bumper when still on the car. It needs to come off to be done properly. They'll tell you it doesn't because it might be a bit of hassle to get it off, but it does.

Assuming you want it to look 100% and stand up to any kind of inspection.

Keep pictures to prove it was only a light bump too.
