Hey guys, i just got a €150 all4one voucher for christmas. I'm looking to buy sound system for my PS3 (and possibly my UPC Box). I'd be able to put a maximum of €50 towards it. The thing is, I have no idea what I'd be looking for. Anybody know of any good deals? Most electrical shops take the voucher Sony Centre, Harvey Normans, DID Electrical etc. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Put a bit of extra cash towards it and get an Onkyo Ht S6305B from richer sounds
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/1-box-home-cinema-systems/onkyo/hts3305/onky-hts3305-blk

or get a Philips HtS 3270 for 150euro. Very cheap system but will take the sound from the optical out on the playstation(hard to get on a cheap home cinema system). Just dont expect any life changing sound quality. does the job for me though

Cheers dude, I dont think richer sounds take the one4all voucher so thats out of the question unfortunately. I'll take a look at the Philips one alright. I'm not looking for anything truly amazing. I have a Hannspree TV for the past 2 years, the sound out of that is pretty bad, so anything semi decent would be a major step up. I'm looking at this Sony one from argos

I dont think that sony one has an optical input. Looked at this model myself when i was looking for one last year. read the review by Chilli Pepper
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DAVDZ280-Cinema-Satellite-Speakers/dp/B001T5LHI4

I know the 260 model will support the ps3
    some threads on the issue

No probs...the whole thing is headwrecking. If you can id advise paying the bit extra and getting a dedicated amp instead of a home cinema system. The philips one i have is basically cheap and the only thing that works on it IS the amp(which suits me fien cause its all illl use it for)
But i know the feeling...why pay a lot more for a better sound. Actually £$% it dont bother the one i have does the job great. Play battlefield and all with no probs!!!!:D

haha yea it really is head wrecking. I've been looking a a few alright ones only to find that there is no optical out on it. I think I'll go for the Philips HtS 3270. It seems perfect for my limited budget. As i said before I have been using sound from my cheap TV for the past 2 years so anything is a step up :)

I really do wish I could spend that extra bit of cash tho.... cant win em all :p
Now to find somewhere that stocks it and will take my voucher.

If you can try and save a little go for the , Onkyo HT-S5305B 3D Ready 5.1 AV Receiver and Speaker Package . Its a nice little bit of kit.

Let me know what the sound is like. I'll be moving into a new apartment and am thinking of getting one of these.

well I finally got my hands on this yesterday. The sound quality out of it is great. Usually when I watch a movie I am always turning the volume up and down on the TV. The levels on this are great, I watched Solitary Man, didn't have to touch the volume once.

Listened to a few CD's on it today, they all sounded very good
