I have noticed a strong smell of gas in my BMW 3 (2010) will bring it back to the garage - someone has suggested to me that the gas canister in the aircon unit could have cracked in the recent cold weather Has anyone come across this before?

Older 3 series have a rep for petrol smell after filling up to the brim.
But if car is brand new then yeah, take it back.
