Ok, this is my dad's, not mine, so I'm asking this for him. He's recorded a tonne of programmes (and wants to keep all of them) and he's getting full up on his mediabox. Is there a way to backup the content?

I have searched under UPC Mediabox, Mediabox backup, Mediabox Full and have not seen any posts with relevant info. Thanks for any help and apologies is there is a thread about this, it didn't come up in the searches I carried out.

    Cheers.

Only way is to backup to a DVR. You will have to copy them by playing each program, so its one at a time unfortunately. Can you upgrade to a HD box? More recording capacity on it.

Thanks dude. I'll pass it on. I've told him I don't think they were intended for long term storage, just watching stuff you're not going to be able to watch while it's on.
