Doghouse-bound. "No, your body's a Funderland"

So that annoying song by John Mayer is on in the car today and the missus asks me if I think her body is a Wonderland, I replied with "No, your body's a Funderland" and thought it was hilarious. She didn't so I'll be on the marital couch tonight instead. Anyone else get the cold shoulder for an innocent joke to her-indoors???

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

What's she got against Funderland? Show me one person who doesn't love Funderland. I'd have taken it as a complement.

That's up there with questions not to answer like "which one of my friends would you sleep with" and "if I died would you remarry"

Maybe she just thinks your jokes are crap?

Ah she's not that bad, just her sense of humour just doesn't extend to her appearance, her family(hilariuos sometimes IMO), weight, opinions, fashion sense!

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

March up those stairs, kick her out of the bed, and chokeslam her down the stairs, the only way OP.

I still don't understand why she'd be offended. I suppose Funderland is a bit rough at times, but it's not like you said her body was a PoundWorld or something.

I suppose comparing her to Funderland is a bit like saying she's not as good as you remember her being when you were younger, she's over priced, smells like sick and isn't really worth all the effort. I guess that could be offensive.

    My mate did something similar:

Her: "Does my bum look big in this?"
Him: "Darling, your bum would look big in Texas!".

    DeV.

Wonderland is a scary scary place full of grinning cats and angry waggins threatening to dismember you.

Maybe you were being too kind?

Just name one of her friends then look a bit confused and go: hang on, did you say "would you sleep with"?

OP- I reckon she was having a fantasy about John Meyer at that very second. You ruined it with Funderland comment, ergo, sleep with the dog in the kennel.

Watch she doesn't lock the door with JM playing and accss to a "questionable toy"

I'd laugh if my BF said that to me... it would show a bit of imagination instead of the usual square face or big arse!!!

Perhaps she thought she was being compared to a crappy ride that he had to pay for, left him feeling mildly nauseous when he got off and had been ridden by a load of knackers before he took his turn....
