I'm about to go ahead and buy a HTC Wildfire with Meteor. Is there any better phones for this price range with andriod that I'm missing out on?

Any big reasons why I shouldn't get it?

    Thanks

It's slightly outdated for HTC standards! (the Legend which was released in April along with the Desire are now outdated, and have been "Replaced" [HD&Z])

Plus i think some apps wont work on it because of the screen type? Can someone correct me if i'm wrong.

And also it wont be able to smoothly handle complex games like Angry Birds etc...

Maybe try something like the Orange San Francisco: Better processor, more memory, much cheaper, but has a slightly worse camera: San Francisco Review. Sure Newry is only an hours drive for you!:L Its £109 (£99 plus £10 top-up) and then you can unlock it for free here: Linky to Mocado

Thanks for the reply. I looked into that phone up north but I decided to get the Wildfire today. I wanted a Desire or even better but there was no way I can afford it so I'm happy with this for now and it's a brilliant little phone for the price :)

My girlfriend has that phone and I hate it and it's been nothing but trouble since she got it so I'm glad I didn't get that one.

Messages only half sending to people. Not receiving messages off anybody for days at a time and then she'd get them all in one go.
Most of the time when calling the phone it will ring out on my end but hers doesn't ring at all. It's a mess at the moment.
We've reset settings, did factory resets and got rid of apps and nothing

    sorry very late reply.

    It's the Optimus 540.

That doesnt shock me at all haha, the optimus 540 is a nice phone for the price, but its no where near the wildfire, the optimus 1 however is much much better :P
