My mother just called me outside , she had parked the car at the top or our cul de sac for about an hour after she dropped my brother out somewhere . She just went to go out again and noticed damage to the passenger door and wing (it'll need a new door and wing). Some nice considerate person has hit it and ****ed off. It's a 6 month old Megane.

This is the 2nd similar incident with our current cars. the missus scenic was hit in a carpark and the rear quater panel was destroyed .

What the **** is wrong with people? Fair enough if you cant manage to drive properly enough to turn your car in a space about 40 feet wide and hit someone, but at least have the common bloody decency to own up to it. The cul de sac would have little or no traffic in it that wasnt connected to a house on the road so either one of the neighbours or someone they know did it.

I'd be knocking on doors asking if anyone saw what happened, must be someone living there or maybe visiting someone, maybe tomorrow check other cars for damage too?

Update. Lucky enough the guy across from us is a peugeot mechanic. My mam had knocked in to him. He said he saw a car come up the road going fairly fast ( the cup de sac is only 100m long) and hit the kerb at the top beside my mams car . He said it was a light blue or silver 206 . my mam had gone to Tallaght Garda station to report it, they decided to hold on to the car to take a paint scraping ( I thought they'd have sent her on her way tbh, but fair Play) .

Anyway, I went out for a nosey and now have a nice 2" x 2" piece off the wing of a silver 206 :-) plus a few big pieces of headlight.

Hope they get the lowlife. In the mean time scour the area for a smacked up 206!
