Depends on the gun I guess. I know I had a Taurus PT92 (M9) and tried a CO2 mag in it but it would only shoot one shot off and then would need to be recocked

But i know some gas rifle can take either

CO2 mags won't fit in the 1911 and it'd most likely send the slide into your face, not sure 'bout the Glock.

TM guns are not designed for use with higher pressured gasses - they even recommend against using propane/green gas, and tag it as 'At own risk'. This is just a disclaimer for them, but still.

They are ABS plastic bodied, and have the potential to crack under the higher pressures, especially that of CO2. If you're looking for a CO2 1911, then the KJW 1911's are your best friend. They're TM compatible, have a whole host of spare parts, and are CO2 ready. Definitely the way to go.

Glocks on the other hand only have aftermarket CO2 mags available. These are not designed by the manufacturers of Airsoft Glocks, but by RA-Tech. If I remember correctly they are cited for use for KSC/KWA glocks.

Inari is right, i just spent a decent amount of time looking for a CO2 mag for my TM clone G17, only available for the KSC/KWA models :(
