Burst Pipes

    Hoping someone can help me. We had disaster on stephens day with 5 pipes burst in our home causing serious damage to floors, carpets, walls and electrics. We are insured with FBD. Im assuming we are covered. They arnt opened until wednesday. Can any1 shed some light?

    Contact a loss adjuster to do it for you. You will be better off in the long run.

    weve got a contractor who has a surveyor working with them. they say they can do it all. do you think this would be ok

    you need to confirm everything with your insurance company first
    what will be ok,is any work done to prevent further damage
    contact your insurance company on their emergency line,if they have one

    insurance companies should pay for the damage caused by the leaks, carpets, electrical equipment, ceilings etc. but wont pay the charge for the plumber fixing the burst pipe as they see that as wear and tear.
