Any help would be much appreciated cause I'm new to pick ups in general.

I dont know for sure how they'd sound but the bridge might be a bit too meaty for this set up and I'd investigate if an upgrade in the pots to 500k and a new tone capacitor would be needed.

I'd imagine someone has posted up something about these pickups on www.tdpri.com

    Cheers

I would check these out. They seem competitively priced and enjoy a good rep online.

What's more, because it is such a small operation you should be able to get in contact with the guy who makes them directly, tell him what guitar you have and what kind of sound you are after and he should be able to tailor something to your needs/advise what would work best.

i generaly use di'marzio but i would be playing alot of metal,

seymour duncans would be more generally for rock, also their website has a very nice wirering chart for installing the pick-ups and generously have provided a colour chart for if you want to wire other pick-ups in following their guides.

I forgot about these guys as well. They enjoy a good rep and their prices are really good.

Otherwise, in terms of what pickups would sound best for your guitar, what kind of sound are you after?

It really depends what you want.

In my opinion, reading the specs on the Dimarzio, it seems to veer towards vintage sounds and warmth, and personally I'd match it with something in the bridge that would stay in character (twang king perhaps).

For the SD hot lead in the bridge then I'd consider something like the vintage stack rhythm in the neck. You could also then coil tap the pickups for a lot of variation in sound

    cheers
