Plumber? Electrician? Gasman? Help!

    Hi all,

I have several problems all at once..

Builders of my house seemingly threw the pipes at the house and ran..

Vokera gas boiler system... have to fill system with water by using plyers on thing in hot press to get pressure up to 1.5 bar EVERY time I need to turn on heating, so I mean morning and night.

There is obivously a leak somewhere but nothing I can see..

Small leaks at radiator knobs, it seems to move from radiator to radiator, I've got some tightened and it just seems to go to a different radiator.

I currently have no water, was under sink blowing hair dryer on pipes and noticed water on the floor under the black mains water pipe coming in, can't see any drops but not a huge amount of water?

So who do I get do work first?

Plumber: fix leak under sink, check all rads, maybe find leak in heating system.

Gasman: service boiler to fix pressure thingy? before or after plumber?

Electrician: maybe he'd be cute, don't know what he'd have to do though?

I'd also love any advice on how to speed up getting my mains water back, everyone else in estate has water back since last night... I'm freezing, smelly and fed up.

    Thanks in advance :)

Get a RGI that is also a plumbing, the boiler issue is a plumbing one.

    Yeah. Plumber.

It doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with the boiler except that it needs pressure to fire. Get all the leaks fixed by the plumber, would be the first step, and possibly last.

:p yeah, I could have used him to keep me warm! ;)

I couldn't get anyone to answer at first, then rang a friend who does some work for the council... sorted plumber here in ten minutes..

Turns out my house needs a lot of work.. :(

Gas fire in one room is blackening the mantlepiece!!!!! Seemingly everyone knows this is bad and could be carbon monoxide and I could die!! My mother said that's what Duncan Stuart says on the telly!!

ALL rads are hot on top but cold in bottom, so reckon they need to be taken off and pressure blasted... water is really hard here and there seems to be build up of gunk..

Leak has to be found in heating system as pressure keeps dropping.

Dishwasher is no disconnected because it went mad when water came back on..

I need a new element in my oven..

    I need my house insulated...

BAD NEWS : I reckon my Santa pressie is going to go on repairs :(

GOOD NEWS: The guy that called last night has a company and they are RGI also and he reckons he can sort it all, insulation also. I am also currently bartering price for a deal in exchange for my skills/trade ..

So thank you all very much guys.. :)
