    just a quick question
i have a iphone 4 jailbroken and unlocked with ultrasnow on 4.0 using baseband 1.59.00

im trying to upgrade it to 4.1 or any higher one without losing my baseband/unlock,

i know it says to download tiny umbrella and save your shsh but when i do this it save 4.2.1 and in the log says i was too late for the others

does this mean i cant do it or is there another way

    thanks

use snowbreeze to create a custom ipsw and restore to that, i'm not sure if ya need shsh saved to do that
ya can only save shsh as long as apple still sign the firmware, 4.2.1 is the only firmware they are signing at the moment

Check out www.Sinfuliphone.com. There's lots of guides on how to do thus using tinyumbrella. You'll be directed to where you can download custom ipsw. Some of these are pre jailbroken too. Why do you Wang 4.1 anyway. Only real difference is gamecentre and it isn't exactly ground breaking.

Enter the settings manually into, general-network-cellular data network.

theres no section for it. went into network and has the enable 3g tab, then the mobile data tab and data roaming tab

Typed the below before I read your above text!!!!LOL!!!

    Did the manual settings work???

    Try this:

Go to general-network and whilst still on this screen eject your sim leave out for 10 seconds then re-insert while still on that screen. You may then see "mobile data network" option appear. If it appears, you can then enter your settings and it should work. This option did work for me so hopefully will work for you.
If it doesn't work, let me know. There is a Cydia package that let's you enter the settings. I'll try find it's name just in case.
