It is out on unbranded phones eg (Meteor). I'm not too sure what is the deal with the other carriers but I now people on Three have to wait a bit longer because Three add stuff on to the updates.

2.2 Update came through on Wildfire today.

As a matter of interest there are a lot of the 199euro Emobile branded wildfires unlocked;).

Well my phone was locked to three but bought it off a guy in a second hand shop who unlocked it but it only works on vodafone now? weird? but anyway will the update re-lock it or delete all files or anything? its just that its my first android usually on blackberry but it was awful ****. just one extra thing im on a mac so a HTC Sync backup is out of the question.

Haven't bought it yet (Wildfire in the post) but this app from
    markspace.com
    is for syncing Macs
