Lost Key

Went for a few pints last night so left the car (BMW 318ci) and got a lift home. When I got home I realised that I had lost my key. I searched my brothers car but didn't find it. Rang the pub this morning and they say they can't see it either. Now, I have a spare key but it doesn't disable the alarm.

    What can I do?

Have you checked the door of the car? :)

Hehe, I don't use the key to lock/unlock, I use the remote on it.

If I put the key in the ignition will that disable the alarm?

Is it a remote key with buttons, if so the battery might be low on the spare key. Some BMW keys will recharge through the ignition, that might fix your problem.

Serious facepalm moment when I arrived at my car, doors unlocked and key sitting in the ignition. Stooooopud.
