Can anyone recommend a good claryfying shampoo? I can remember using a Neutrogena one years ago, but I don't think they make it anymore. I seem to have a build up of product in my hair at the moment, and my usual Herbal Essences just isn't working.

    I have oily hair BTW.

Pantene do one. Its in a clear bottle and is clear itself. The one I am talking about is actually called 'clarifying shampoo'. There is another one that is similar that they do called 'ice shine' but it isn't nearly as good.

+1 on the Pantene. Herbal Essences also do their own in a green bottle. I find DAX shampoo really good for it myself.

Herbal essences used to do a great one but I don't like the smell of the new one so I haven't tried it,
I use the Pantene one that was mentioned here, it's really good or I used to get one in harvey nichols in Dundrum called Terax Latte clarifying shampoo which I found really good aswell.

Putting salt in your own shampoo can be a handy quick fix, I used this trick all the time when I wore a lot of product in my hair and it worked a treat:)

Bumble and Bumble's Sunday Shampoo. Expensive, but excellent and you only need to use a very small amount.

I think it's usually sold in salons but I bought it on strawberrynet a while ago (not sure if they still have it) so it can be gotten cheaper online.

another +1 on the pantene! :)

Is Neutrogena "clean" the clarifying shampoo that you are thinking of? I got it a few months ago in the pound shop on Thomas street (beside lidl) if you are in Dublin, I'll try and watch out to see if they sell it still, I use this like once a week and the bottle lasts for ages. I found the conditioner didn't react with my hair all that well it make it kind of dull and heavy but I love the shampoo.
