Or i could get a new nikko sterling 6x24x50 with side parallax. I know you get what you pay for but there are in may price range unless i should stay well away. I might buy a 223 in a while and scope will have to do that to oh ye at the min it will be going on a brno .22lr. hope ye get time to leave a comment

i had a hawke nite eye 6.5-20x50 on my hornet and hated it

was crap at night and kept loosing zero and way to parrallax fussy, i used to waste so much time fiddling with the adjustable objective to try get a clear image, i now use it as a paper weight

i have an old model nikko stirling gold crown 4-12x42 on my .22 and find it to be a way better scope, the only thing i dont like about it is the aadjustable objective, i way prefer side parrallax, as its alot handier

as far as recomendations go you usually get what you pay for, so whats your budget, have you rang any other dealers to see if they have any 2nd hand scopes and what do you want the scope for, is it hunting or target shooting and when do you use it, day or night? and what sort of brno do you have? because my one has iron sights that get in the way when your mounting the scope, my scope only has a 42mm objective and i had to use high mounts so will you actually be able to mount a 50mm scope on it?

We normally go out at nite just hunting rabbits and fox I myself do some target shootin when I'm boarded with high rise mounts the scope should fit my friend has a bushnell with a 50 lens up at the min a it fits barely fits but fits all the same I also understand you get what you pay for just with house and that can't justify big money at the min I'd love to mind. Now I don't mind if scope is second hand but that was the only scope around I could actually look through lads say never buy a scope without looking through it for clarity and that

Thats not strictly true. Paralax is when the reticle moves slightly depending on how straight your eye is on the scope. Can give you a false sight picture, possible impacting accuracy. A lot of fixed power scopes come Paralax free at a certain range, eg both my Schmidts are paralax free at 100yards, the focus is separate; as it is on both my Leupolds.

well ya you can go into it in more detail and talk about how the image is portrayed either in front or behind the reticle and this is what causes the reticle to move around on the target when you shift your eye off centre or forward and backwars from the lense, but when you have the focus set properly this should not happen,
