Window Condensation

My house has trickle vents in the windows and during the recent cold spell I had them closed and there was a lot of condensation on the windows.I know this is part of the price we pay for reduced airflow but a couple of quick questions.

Any way to reduce/prevent this apart from leaving windows/vents open.

Any really good anti mildew silicone products out there.I have replaced the bead at the bottom of the window a few times and it still goes black after a year or so.
