Hi all - I am not sure if this has already been posted, but there is a new cycling shop in D15. It's run by 2 experienced guys from shops in town ( can't remember which ones so I won't name )
It's about time D15 had a proper bike shop. For those who know the area, it's across from the Seat dealer, beside Superquinn.

I visited the shop yesterday and dropped up my fixie to resolve that crazy clicking sound.
The shop is very new and still a bit bare but they are bringing in more bikes and accessories as they go along. they already have the essencials up on the shelves.

I was speaking to one of the 2 owners, who used to managed the cyclesuperstore and build wheels. He seems very knowlegable.

I will comment more later on after I pick up my fixie.

The bike hub in Howth have one just inside the door for that very purpose. Tis right beside the bike park at the cash desk.

Ok - weird clikng sound seems to have gone now. Will have to take it for a proper spin to make sure.

My bike was spotted in the bike shop, who was that? ... it's hard to be internet famous.

I can confirm that the two guys in CycleZone are experienced, and enthusiasts.

The fellow Caroline.ie is referring to is Justin, a very experienced mechanic, and the person who taught me most of what I know about bike mechanics in Cycleways a fair few years ago (road, track and vintage stuff especially). I cannot say a bad word about him (except that he never dropped back my park allen set I lent him on his last day at CSS, but that only gives me an excuse to drop into his new shop:)).

The other fellow is Gary, who has worked in (and managed) Cycleways for most of his days in the bike industry. He has a better business head than Justin, so hopefully they can turn their fledgeling shop into an established one, and not go under when the B2W bubble bursts.

I wish them the best of luck, and hope they can get the shop to where they want to take it.
