Mine resulted in an overwhelming and resounding 'meh.'

That said, I got some lovely strawberry-smelly stuff from the Body Shop out of it which I haven't had in years, so that was a nice touch.

Then again, maybe they're trying to tell me I'm smelly... :(

Enjoyed it because next year we suffer badly because of the greed and incompetence of our Government's actions over the past few years. Kinda like one last hurrah.

Meh.. Same old same old really..

    NO!

The most over rated event on the planet!

Why bring family together that do not get along!

Defo skipping it next year and going skiing instead!

Hope everyone has a great New Year. :)

I enjoyed it myself...While you are right there than theres more to life than all that money..try living without it..I have a suspicion that they're be even less of it around next year..maybe we'll have to choose the turkey or ham both not both..now that is a bit extravagant! Are you still proud to be a FF supporter?

I did, FF and proud, and am looking forward to a new year and a new government! And yourself?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

totally overrated imo and just think the whole event is ridiculous including the frantic shopping that goes on (i didn't participate in that) would definitely hope to head away for it next year weather/airports permitting :D

Bunch of bloody scrooges around here!

I had a nice Christmas. Did a bit too much driving but it was well worth it for my mams dinner!

I enjoyed it. We had a nice dinner and spent the afternoon sitting around chatting and playing the obligatory boardgames. I had fun. We all told each other what we wanted this year. I know some people think this spoils the surprise, but I think it worked really well as everyone was genuinely pleased with what they got.

Nice sentiment. Now if only you could get the same message through to all the rats in your beloved party who seem to want to get their hands on all of the money that the good people of Ireland work hard for in order to dole it out to their mates and other corrupt ****heads who don't share the sentiment and want to ensure that all future Christmasses will involve lumps of coal and cardboard presents.

Are you still "proud" of your party ?

If so, then your opinion is something that I'd scrape off my boots, assuming that I can still afford any this time next year.

Spent Christmas Eve and Day thawing pipes and getting boilers going and spent Stephen's night fixing a burst pipe and checking other pipes... pretty sickening :(

Did you have to run over a turkey before you got to yer mam's?

It was great, I got to spend most of the day alone...well I had the dog.

Litttle fecker doesn't eat turkey, so I had to get a chicken instead.

I only had one cracker to pull and there wasnt even a joke inside.

I love the run up to it, but I find Christmas day a huge anti-climax and now I can't wait for the new year to kick off.

Had one of the best Christmases in a long time, the last few were **** but this one was great. :)

Of course, now that it's all over and since the festive mood wore off and the relatives all went home we're all back at each others throats, i.e my family.

    Christmas 2010:

    -No water
    -No gas
-My daughter has a vomiting bug and an infection in her mouth
-My car has been broken down with a week, part won't be in til Jan 4th
-My parents separated in 2010 so we were trying to divide the day between them

    To sum up:

    Worst Chrismas ever :(:(:(

My Christmas was as calm and as bright as I wanted it to be. I went to the 8.30 mass, cycled to the West End and was surprised to find several of Oxford Street's smaller shops open, including a branch of Starbucks. So I had a monstrously overpriced snack there, cycled back home before it got dark, made myself dinner and passed the rest of the night in silence.

No cards, no tinsel, no fake snow, no useless gifts, no carols, no kids, no TV, no booze, no drunks, no quarrels, no fights.

This was a truly silent night.

Christmas day - Quiet, and uneventful. Makes it better than most other days this year!

Plus, I was back in work on the 26th, nice and early. So it was like having a weekend off with a slightly more expensive dinner
