hi all, this is my second post on this, the first was in the wrong forum i think.

Anyway I'm looking for some names of places in Dublin what will add Bluetooth functionality to a Honda civic 2006. It needs to have the music and phone capabilities please.

Ideally using the aux switch already on the radio, there is no visible sign of aux leads / connection on or near the dash. I was looking at some leads on ebay, ones that have a pass through for a parrot kit, these kits look decent, they remember the phone numbers, have decent looking wireless steering wheel remotes etc.

Anyway a name of a place would be appreciated.

option two it to keep the little solar phone kit that is currently working and add something that will allow music from an iPhone to play in the car.

    thank you all.

Buy a Parrot MKI9200. Its a full handsfree bluetooth kit with a IPOD cable,USB and line in cables. Excellent bit of kit..

I was looking at that kit on ebay, it looks the part alright, but the sound does not come through your own car speakers, or maybe i have it wrong, and if it does it will require pulling some of the dash off and I'd prefer if my first time doing this was not on my own car :)

The parrot kit uses your cars speakers.

You'll get it professionally instlled for under €300. It can be completely hidden bar the screen and speaker. The remote cab be positioned anywhere too. Playing music via Bluetooth I better than the direct iPhone/iPod connection

    DO NOT USE HALFORDS.

They made complete and utter sh1t of my interior in a failed attempt to fit a parrot kit. The car required multiple interior parts replaced and I wasted a day of my life watching them mutilate my car.

I would have preferred to have wasted the idiot fitting it.

Avoid at all costs. A spur of the moment decision and fcuk me was I sorry

Exactly they havent a clue. I seen here before someone got it for 200 fitted. There have been loads of threads on this before. A quick search should bring up recomended fitters.

thank you everyone, I've sent a PM to that user. I've heard about halfords alright and did not want to go there as a result anyway.

What I really wanted was a "smaller" operation with someone who knew what they were doing.

I'll keep you posted thanks again.
